ST. PATRICK'S DAY 4 MILE AND FUN RUNS!
The Start/Finish area is in a new location: the gymnasium at Coindre Hall, located at 101 Browns Road, Huntington, NY 11743. The 1K Fun Run will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the 4-Mile Run will begin at 9 a.m. sharp.The course itself will remain the same, on the scenic route along Huntington Harbor.
Participants are urged to regularly check the Fund’s website townwidefund.org for information and updates.
In addition to the Fun Run and the Four Mile race, the Hartigan High School Challenge will once more be part of the Four Mile race. It is often used by coaches as an early season training event. The Townwide Fund encourages any high school students to gather a team of five Designees” and come out for fun and to support a good cause.
The St. Patrick’s Run is the first big event of the calendar year for the Townwide Fund in its efforts to raise funds to support its twenty member health and human service agencies.

For 20 years, Kay has been a very active member of The Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce, served as president, and is a current board member who chairs the Revitalization Committee. She was a past board member of both the American Lung Association of Nassau and Suffolk County and the Sayville Music Boosters for the Arts, where she was president. Kay presently sits on the board of the New York State Jewelers Association and represents Suffolk County Legislator Bill Lindsay’s Downtown Revitalization Committee for the 8th Legislative District. She is an avid sponsor of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center and has held fundraising events in her store to support our Foundation programs. Kay exemplifies the spirit of giving and the list of worthy charitable causes that she champions is substantial.
Women for Brookhaven is an event coordinated by an active group of health conscious, community minded women, who for more than 18 years, have worked for the advancement of health care benefitting the patients of the Medical Center.

WRITER'S GROUP
The Writer's Group is a writer's forum where we share our writing by reading to the group, both for the sake of having an audience and for receiving (on request) constructive feedback. We appreciate on another and never criticize. We do all kinds of writing: essays, poetry, novels, short stories, humor and memoirs. Each year we put together an anthology: a culmination of our thinking, listening, and writing.
