Well, hello ladies and gents, let me introduce myself. My name is Thea Ferzola. By day I am an eighth grade English teacher in Whitestone, Queens. By eve, I am your one-stop column to all events and activities lady-friendly. This will be the place that you come to when looking to get your girls together to spend some quality time laughing, catching up on the latest gossip, networking, laughing and even dancing! We all know how difficult it is to juggle kids, career, dating and finding time to dish about the latest trending books (Fifty Shades of Grey!), TV shows (Have you seen that William Levy on Dancing with The Stars?) current events (Really? A char-broiled mom puts her five-year old in a TANNING BED?) and

our careers (You are applying for WHAT promotion?) Call it a Sex and The City of sorts kinda place to come read, chuckle and get the scoop on the most dazzling places for us girls to hang out. Of course, if you’re a fella, this is also the place to find out where all those ambitious, inspirational, beautiful women are converging! So, it’s a win/win situation for all–men and women alike. For now, I shall bid you all a simple adieu and leave you with one suggestion for a “Ladies Who Lunch” afternoon activity. See, “Girl’s Night Out” does not always have to be necessarily in the EVENING. Sunday afternoons between the yoga class at 8am, dropping little Johnny off at lacrosse practice at 9:00am and the supermarket shopping at 2pm can be easily be interrupted by an impromptu brunch for you and your favorite ladies. At this point I cannot recommend a more economical atmosphere than Churchills in Rockville Centre. Say hello to Tommy the bartender inside, and grab a Mimosa (or four) and sit out back in the Spring-time sun and order the Eggs Benedict, the French toast or the Breakfast Quesadilla. Now is your time to squeak out an hour and a half of your busy life to concentrate on catching up with the people that support you no matter what: your girls. Did I mention that there are unlimited Mimosas and Bloody Marys throughout your entire brunch? I can hear the phones dialing already, and the texts being sent. Uh-oh, I may have just lost myself a seat at the hottest spot for brunch on a Sunday morning! I can hear the laughter from here. Enjoy.
