Michele Martin has been in the insurance industry for 32 years, 12 years as an agency owner for Allstate. Her agency handles all forms of personal lines of insurance, commercial, life and health insurance, financial products and employee benefits.
Michele is very involved with the Allstate Foundation on the issues of Driver Training and Domestic Violence. Due to her work with the Foundation she has been chosen as an “Allstate Hometown Hero”, awarded an “Agent Hands in the Community grant’ for the past five years, recognized as an Agency “spotlight’ honoree, filmed a Youtube video on her experience as a Domestic Violence survivor, and was chosen to represent Allstate in Washington, D.C. this June for Advocacy Day to fight for funding for Domestic Violence. Michele is a 2011 Honoree for Dress for Success for the work that she does with them.
Michele’s office is very community minded. Besides being a drop off site for Dress for Success, Michele’s office holds two food drives per year and a school supply drive for underprivileged children.
She is on the Board as Director of sponsorship for SCWBEC (Suffolk County Women’s Business Enterprise Coalition), Secretary for Smithtown Business and Professional Women’s Network and the Society of Italian Americans and Friends, Membership and Publicity Chair for LeTip Moriches, and sits on the Board for the Middle Country Library’s Women’s Expo. Michele will have four articles on insurance featured in the new Gem Magazine LI, the new Lifestyle Magazine for the Long Island Woman!
