Home & Garden
With spring just around the corner, it is a good time to organize your scrapbook supplies. There are many products out there that will help you sort your supplies.

If you really have a large stash of scrapbook supplies then get yourself some boxes and label them: KEEP, THROW AWAY and DONATE.
The KEEP box should be used for those items that you know you will use. The THROW AWAY box is for all those items that you kept just in case even though you know you can’t/won’t use them. The DONATE box is for items that are still good but you’ll never use and just take up space.

Donate Your Scrapbook Items
There are many places on Long Island that will gladly take your donations. Many schools now have Scrapbook Clubs. The Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk Country has a Bereavement Department that could always use donations.

If you don’t know where to begin, start by first sorting by color. Put all your cardstock in color order. Then, put all your pattern papers in color order. Next go to your embellishments and sort them. Take your pattern papers and sort them within their color by stripes, floral, large pattern, etc. If you have items that are theme specific then sort those separately. Once you are organized make sure you label everything so you will always know where to go to get just the right thing!
